Each season Wilderness Village calls upon its Members to volunteer for various programs and duties in our wonderful camping community. Our Pancake Breakfast, Bingo, Pub Night and Sylvester Carnival events are a source of enjoyment for many at Wilderness Village and could not take place with out the generous efforts of our wonderful volunteers. Some of the programs that run for the entire summer may qualify for a volunteer site with a fulltime commitment. We also need volunteers for one time special events such as AGM registration and this year, for the 30th anniversary and new pool opening celebrations. Each year at our Annual General Meeting, Wilderness Village holds elections for new Board Directors as other Board members come to the end of their serving term. This year we will need to elect two Directors. We operate with seven Board Directors who create policies, direct management and govern the major business affairs of the Resort. Board Directors volunteer their time and usually meet once per month. The future success of Wilderness Village depends upon having Members who possess successful business experience and the best interests of the Association as a whole, to come forward as nominees to the Board. A Board Director Handbook is available from the Resort Manager which outlines the duties and required commitment to become a Board member. Nomination forms are available at the Office and require the endorsement of two other Shareholding members and must be submitted prior the AGM election.
