Membership Types

Full Memberships & Season’s Pass Memberships: Wilderness Village offers two types of extended term access to its facilities; Full (long term) membership or a short-term membership (season pass). A common misconception is that having a membership will provide a permanent campsite, but that is not the case in our resort. Since we have almost 800 members and just over 400 campsites that is not possible. As a member you are always guaranteed a campsite if you wish to camp- but we do not pre-reserve you (or anyone) a campsite. If you only come out to camp for a weekend, then your trailer would have to be returned to the storage compound at the end of your stay. You must be present in your trailer for all the nights your trailer is on a site. If you prefer to tow your own trailer that is fine, but if you’d like us to do it for you there is a fee for that service.
2023 memberships become available on January 2, 2023 at 8am.

Full membership: Provides a lifetime of term with a shareholding status which means you have a say in the important decisions made for our not-for-profit Resort. For example, a shareholder may attend and participate at an annual general meeting to vote on capital expenditures and board elections. Shareholders may run for the Board which is a voluntary position. There are many privileges associated with this membership including not having to make reservations, complimentary year-round storage of your primary RV unit and an opportunity to be able to camp at any time of the year (no nightly camping fees- maximum 180 days) as we are open year round. This type of membership is fully transferable 20 year term.
The current cost is $29,250.00 plus GST. Financing may be available through the Rocky Credit Union. 2023 memberships become available on January 2, 2023 at 8am.

Season Pass Membership: Provides a shorter term type of membership from May 2 through to October 1 with more or less the same privileges as a full membership, including storage of the primary RV unit, no nightly camping fees and no reservations required.
The current cost is $5,500.00 plus GST. 2023 memberships become available on January 2, 2023 at 8am.

2023 Membership

The term of membership is for the entire lifetime of the shareholding member, providing they remain in good standing with the park, or until such time as they wish to transfer ownership. After transfer a residual, declining twenty year membership (with share) would remain, which is also transferable.
Optional services such as RV trailer towing, RV waste water evacuation and winter site snow plowing, are performed at a very reasonable cost. Cottage rentals are discounted to shareholding members and their guests (Only during non-peak times, Oct 12-Dec 19; Jan 3-Feb 29 and shoulder season times, Mar 1-Jun14; Sep 15-Oct 11; Dec 20-Jan 2).
Yearly maintenance dues ($1575 + GST for 2023) includes campsite use, year round RV storage, firewood and showers. In addition, Members may use the Resort up to 180 days per year without additional charges. Members are always guaranteed to have an RV site when they arrive.
Members may access the park year round.
Shareholding Members have voting privileges and may attend the Annual General Meeting. They may also stand as a nominee to the Board of Directors, vote on yearly budgets and participate in shaping the direction of the park. Each shareholder has collective ownership of the park.

Member Stays

Members (Full or Season Pass) of Wilderness Village do not have to make reservations as they all have electronic gate cards to access the Resort at any time. Arrangements do have to be made in advance in order for optional services to be performed such as towing, septic pumping and site plowing (in the winter months). Members must book these services by 4 PM the day prior they are required.
